David McDonald former reporter on "Eye on Scotland" turned independent journalist, has traveled to Edinburgh during the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic to figure out just exactly what is going on here, however, what he discovers is more than what he bargained for.

The David McDonald Report is Martin Films' second production after Invisible Illness over a year later, it was created as a mockumentary to highlight the "hilarity" during the heights of the pandemic due to all the confusing and misleading information from the government at the time, David himself is a satire of most pompous reporters who want to tell everyone they are doing it to help folk when really it's nothing more than an ego boost.

The film was released in April 2021 and was a massive success amongst viewers who admired the cynical and cheeky comedy styles, a sequel is due to be released in 2024
